Narrative

JACKSON CO., OK – A man from Tipton died in a pickup truck accident on Monday morning along a roadway in eastern Jackson County.

The solo crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. on South County Road 210 near East County Road 168. This is southeast of Altus and northwest of Tipton.

It’s not yet clear what might have caused the accident. Police say a 2016 Ford F350 left the roadway and overturned into a ditch.

When crews responded to the scene, they determined that the victim had been pinned in his vehicle for over two hours. He died at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as 45-year-old Jeremy Wayne Lamar.

An investigation is underway.
