CHICKASHA, OK – Police say that a grassfire may have caused a deadly six-vehicle collision along the H.E. Bailey Turnpike in central Grady County on Thursday.
They reported the accident around 12:45 p.m. near mile marker 76 in southwest Chickasha.
It’s not yet clear how the collision occurred, but authorities say an 18-wheeler was involved and that three people died.
Officials closed the turnpike in the vicinity of the crash for approximately six hours.
The victims have not yet been identified, but the investigation is ongoing.
