Narrative
GROVE, OK – One man sustained critical injuries, and two others were hurt in a two-vehicle collision along the highway near Grove on Monday.
Crews reported to the scene at US-59 and South 580 Road around 5:15 p.m. This area is north of Copeland.
Police say that one driver failed to allow sufficient space between his vehicle and the vehicle ahead of him. As the latter vehicle attempted to turn northbound on South 580 Road from US-59, the first vehicle struck it.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified by authorities as John Dameron, sustained critical injuries.
The other driver, identified as 31-year-old Jesus Lopez, went to the hospital along with a 28-year-old passenger. Both men sustained non-critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
