Narrative

NORMAN, OK – A 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old man died Tuesday morning when their vehicles collided at a Norman intersection.

Crews reported to the scene of the two-vehicle accident around 2:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of Robinson Street just before Flood Avenue. This area is between I-35 and 12th Avenue Northeast.

Authorities say that an alleged DUI driver was speeding on the eastbound side of Robinson when he rear-ended a vehicle at a red light, pushing that vehicle forward and into a traffic pole. The first vehicle then overturned and caught fire.

Both men died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released their identities to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
