Narrative

CLEVELAND CO., OK – A nine-year-old child sustained head injuries when two vehicles collided on a highway between Slaughterville and Lexington.

The incident happened on Tuesday, September 5th, just after midnight on US-77 at Duffy Road, which is east of I-35 and the Canadian River.

Police say that a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by 22-year-old Raedyn Dean collided with the rear of a 2021 Kia Sorrento on the highway.

The driver of the Kia, identified as 41-year-old Cortnie Bleso, went to the hospital with leg injuries, while her nine-year-old passenger was admitted with a head injury. Both victims are expected to recover, and the other three occupants of the Kia were not hurt in the crash.

The driver of the Ford sustained leg injuries of unknown severity.
