Narrative
MAYES CO., OK – A 62-year-old woman died Thursday from injuries sustained in a wrong-way crash along the highway in northeastern Mayes County.
The incident happened around 9:48 a.m. on OK-20 just north of Spavinaw, which is about an hour northeast of Tulsa.
Police say that a westbound 2008 Mazda Miata entered the eastbound lanes of OK-20 and collided head-on with an eastbound 2008 BMW 328.
The wrong-way driver, identified as Brenda Grace, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics airlifted the other driver, 65-year-old Pakao Lee, to the hospital with head energies.
A 55-year-old female passenger, Sai Lee, also went to the hospital via air ambulance with non-critical injuries.
