OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A motorcyclist died Monday after a single-vehicle crash along the interstate in central Oklahoma City.
The incident happened around 3:15 p.m. on the westbound side of I-40 just west of I-235, which is just north of the river near the Boathouse District.
Police say the 2007 Suzuki motorcycle had a mechanical problem, which ultimately caused the rider to be ejected into the roadway. The motorcyclist sustained a head injury and died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name to the public.
